Amarnath Yatra

The Amarnath yatra is one of the holiest Yatra in Hindu religion. It attracts lakhs of pilgrims every year form all over the world who visit the site during Shravani Mela in July-August (Shravan month in Hindu calendar) - the only time in the whole year when the Amarnath Cave is accessible. The cave is placed at an altitude of 3,888m, about 141 km from Srinagar, the capital of Jammu and Kashmir and reached through Pahalgam town or via Helicopter facility form Neelgrath. The annual

'Amarnath Yatra' is marked by 'Pratham Pujan'. It is said that the 'Shiv linga' in the holy cave grows and shrinks with the lunar cycle. As per the religious beliefs, it has been claimed that the lingam grows and shrinks with the phases of the moon reaching its height during the summer festival. The legend says that Lord Shiva tell the secrets of life and death to Goddess Parvati but he couldn't risk anyone eavesdropping. So, they set on their way to a cave in the mountains - too difficult to be reached by any lesser person than the gods themselves. Now Hindu devotees find themselves enroute this perilous mountainous trek every year.

  • Day 01 : Destination - Airport to Sonmarg

    Our representative will meet you at Srinagar Airport and you will proceed to Sonmarg via Car. Once reach check in Hotel and if time allowsyou can see Thajiwas Glacier which are famous for ice skiing. And you can enjoy other sightseeing. After all the adventure returns back to hotel dinner and overnight stay.

  • Day 02 : Destination - Holy Cave to Srinagar

    Early morning after breakfast you have to proceed to Neelgrath (Baltal) via road. Here you will start your Journey to Baba Barfani( Amarnath Holy Cave) form Neelgrath Helipad to Panchtarni. The distance fromPanchtarni to Cave is around 6 Kms. So you can trek or take Palki/Pony to reach there. After Darshan return bank to Neelgrath and moves to Srinagar. Check in Hotel, dinner and overnight stay..

  • Day 03 : Destination ( Srinagar to Airport Drop)

    Today's morning after breakfast local sightseeing (if time available) and Drop you on Srinagar Airport or any Hotel in Srinagar.

    Yatra Ends and sweet memories always remain.
